Thank you for this launch.

Season 1 Introduction

First of all, I wanted to congratulate all the players who took part in ranked mode! Your rewards are waiting for you! Don't hesitate to share with us what you received.

Congratulations to this season's champion: @Champion, as well as the players on the podium who kept the suspense going until the very end. We’re counting on you to fight just as hard in the upcoming seasons!

Next, I wanted to share a little recap of this first season with you:

Season 1 stats

When I created Cards Quest, I had no idea how much you would enjoy the game or how much interest it would generate. But to my surprise, the Duel mode quickly became one of the most popular and most played game modes.

More than 500 duels have already been played since launch, including a record of 99 games played in a single day on September 30th.

These numbers make me want to invest even more time into this mode, continue improving it, and bring you new features.

The many recent improvements to the trading system also seem to be appreciated, especially when looking at the growth in trading activity since the updates.

Looking at these statistics, even though they are just numbers, I consider this launch a great success for a project that I started without really knowing how far it could go.

I won't hide the fact that seeing Cards Quest evolve over the past few weeks, seeing players log in, complete their collections, trade cards, compete against each other in duels, and start talking with one another is an incredible feeling.

Thank you all. Whether you participate occasionally or every day, Cards Quest continues to evolve thanks to you ❤️.

And of course, I couldn't let you enter Season 2 without a few new features!

What to expect in Season 2

  • Trading improvements

To continue improving your gaming experience, the trading page has been slightly updated to display more offers simultaneously on larger screens.

  • Duel improvements

Following the recent exploit that could have caused unfair advantages during some duels, the system has been improved once again.

Starting with Season 2, ranked duels will be blind: you will no longer know who you are playing against until the duel is over.

The goal is to prevent the identity or level of your opponent from influencing the outcome of a duel.

  • Ranked mode balancing

The amount of Elo gained from ranked duels has also been adjusted.

During Season 1, you earned the same amount of Elo regardless of your opponent's level or rank.

This will no longer be the case in Season 2: facing a player with a higher level or rank than you can earn you more Elo.

The goal is to make progression in ranked mode more consistent with the level of the opponents you face.

  • Addition of new cards

A total of 295 cards—including 1 Mythic (available in normal and golden versions) and 3 new Legendaries (available in normal and shiny versions)—have been added to the collection.
