Cards Quest

The rules of the game

In Cards Quest, every card is a real video game, and the more the press loved the game, the rarer its card. Here is everything you need to fill your collection: rarities, packs, finishes and what your duplicates are worth.

Seven rarity tiers

A cult classic ends up among the Mythics, a memorable flop among the Duds: a card’s rarity only depends on the score the press gave the game. There are 1,795 cards to collect today.

TierPress score CardsShare of the catalogue
Mythic 95 and up 18 1%
Legendary 93 to 94 23 1.3%
Epic 87 to 92 150 8.4%
Rare 80 to 86 403 22%
Uncommon 70 to 79 647 36%
Common 50 to 69 480 27%
Dud under 50 74 4.1%

Duds are not failed cards: they are often the funniest to collect, and the Turkey Pack is dedicated to them.

Packs

Every pack holds five cards, all different. Some draw from the whole catalogue, others from a selection: indie games, retro games, big productions… The percentages give your odds of landing each rarity, for each of the five cards.

When a pack guarantees a rarity, you always leave with at least one card of that level.

Three finishes

A card can come out in a rarer finish. You can therefore collect the same game several times: Normal, Shiny and, for Mythics, Golden.

Coins, duplicates and recycling

You start with 500 coins to buy your first packs. After that, you earn more by recycling duplicates, winning ranked duels and completing quests.

A duplicate is never wasted: recycle it for coins. The rarer it is, the more it pays. No risk for your collection, one copy of every card is always kept.
