Trades
How to trade cards in Cards Quest: the offer board, direct proposals, card values and the rules of a trade.
Two ways to trade
- The board: what other players are giving away, open to anyone. You find something you like and offer what you put in return, taken from your own collection.
- The direct proposal: you pick a player, what you give them and what you ask for. They accept or decline.
Posting an offer
- You post the cards you are giving, and nothing else: nobody can see your collection, so asking for one precise card almost never worked.
- Interested players offer you what they have. Every proposal shows up under “Yours”, and you pick the one you like; the others fall away.
- You can have up to 5 open offers at a time.
Marking a card
- Mark the cards you are after from their sheet, anywhere in the game: the “I want this one” button.
- The board then flags the offers giving one away, and the “What you want” view shows only those.
The rules of a trade
- Each side gives at least one card, and at most six.
- The value is up to you: a lopsided trade is flagged before you send it (when the weaker lot is worth less than half of the other), but you can still propose it.
- A card’s value depends on its rarity and its variant: a Shiny card is worth five times more, a Golden card twenty times more.
- Only cards are traded, never coins.
Good to know
- The “Yours” tab gathers what is under way: what needs your answer, what needs theirs, and your offers on the board. Your finished trades live on their own page, “See my history”.
- Until the trade is done, you keep your cards. If one of you no longer owns them when accepting, the trade is cancelled.
- You can have up to 12 pending proposals, with at most 3 to the same player.
- Cards received through trades complete your collection, but they do not count for franchises or for the pulled-cards quest.
